just entered May now and it's wild to me that i haven't really touched NNW in the last couple of weeks. my last commit was 17 days ago, patching a bug with the npc circuit state. granted, i have made small changes since that commit in sporadic moments here and there: i had done some light playtesting soon after adding win/lose conditions, but seemed to lose my momentum after. the sudden hot weather had a lot to do with it. truly i don't know where the days have gone, really. but even if it stays hot or gets hotter, i've got to keep my cool and plough on if i want to release this game in the next few months.

i definitely feel an urgent need to promote the game through social media content from RIGHT NOW until it no longer makes any sense to do so. the plight of the solo indie dev requires them to constantly and aggressively market their own games online by any means necessary. so i'll be figuring that out as i go which i seem to be doing with a fair few of the facets involved in this process.

annoyingly a lot of the footage I've captured so far is either downscaled or bit-crushed to some extent that makes it ugly when inserted into a portrait video project. this has really ground my gears, especially because this is something I could have seen coming. I just remember at the time of making the video captures, seeing how large some of them were made my jaw drop and I had to chuck them into a more optimised encoder. then I deleted the originals (why am I like this)

wish me luck
